The drawing
A lively architectural composition depicting the presentation of the infant Christ in the Temple. Figures crowd around an elevated altar, where a priest receives the child, while attendants and onlookers gather beneath towering arches and columns. Rapid pen strokes and broad washes establish the figures, flowing garments, and monumental interior.
