The drawing
The fourth composition in Becker's series depicting the punishment of Cupid. Several women surround the winged figure of Cupid at the base of a tree, bending over him and apparently preparing to inflict punishment. Two women stand at left, one raising a rod, while another figure approaches from behind. At right, a seated woman lifts a flaming torch beside a tall pyramidal structure. Architectural details and handwritten annotations appear throughout the scene.
