The drawing
The third composition in Becker's series depicting the punishment of Cupid. At the center, a winged Cupid is bound to a tree, surrounded by women who gesture toward him, restrain him, or brandish implements of punishment. Figures at left and right raise rods and weapons, while others sit or kneel in the foreground. Classical architecture appears in the background, and handwritten labels identify several figures.
