The drawing
A sheet of studies depicting winged angels in elaborate, flowing Renaissance garments. The upper-left figure kneels with head bowed, holding a slender stem, while two larger angels occupy the lower half of the sheet, their wings and billowing drapery explored through energetic pen strokes. Smaller sketches at upper right examine additional poses and movements.
