The drawing
A densely packed group of grotesque and costumed figures surrounds the personification of Synagoga, with selective blue and reddish coloring accenting the drawing. The subject belongs to the medieval Christian Ecclesia-and-Synagoga tradition, part of medieval Christian anti-Jewish imagery.
